“There’s no telling what will happen this time,” Emily Robison added, making a sly reference to Natalie’s 2003 comments about President George W. Bush and the Iraq War that continue to make the trio somewhat controversial.

Capitol RecordsMerle Haggard is the Greatest Country Artist of the Modern Era, according to Billboard‘s new Greatest of All Time ranking. The Man in Black, Johnny Cash, comes in second, with Willie Nelson and Hank Williams checking in at third and fourth, respectively. Dolly Parton is the highest-ranking female on the list at number five, finishing just ahead of George Jones at number 6.

ABC/Image Group LAChris Stapleton continues to capitalize on his success at the CMA Awards.

His CMA-winning album, Traveller, is number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the second week in a row. It sold 97 thousand copies and 124 thousand equivalent album units — which takes into account digital sales and streams — for the week ending Thursday.

The previous week, Traveller became the first debut album by a country artist in four years to go to number one on the all-genre chart.

“Out of respect for the lives lost in yesterday’s terrorist attacks, we have decided to postpone the rest of our European dates,” he shared on his Facebook page. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of France at this tragic time. WE WILL BE BACK.”
