Academy of Country MusicThe Academy of Country Music has announced the headliners for next year’s ACM Party for a Cause Festival will be two-time ACM Entertainers of the Year Carrie Underwood and Dierks Bentley, and four-time ACM Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney.

The charity-based event, which will be held on April 1-3, 2016, also promises to attract “a whole bunch” of the headliners’ friends. This year’s event attracted the likes of Clint Black, The Gatlin Brothers, Darius Rucker, and Luke Bryan.

Academy of Country MusicMiranda Lambert was proud to show off her home state of Texas to the world at Sunday night’s ACM Awards, where she picked up three trophies, including her fourth Album of the Year award.

Miranda says, “The crowd was so warm and so excited and such huge fans of country music, and you could feel it in the room. And that made me really happy. My chest was swelled up, ’cause I’m from around here.”

ACMCo-host Luke Bryan took home Entertainer of the Year honors at the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards Sunday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, but it was Miranda Lambert who proved to be the night’s big winner. The wife of Bryan’s co-host Blake Shelton collected her sixth consecutive Female Vocalist trophy. Miranda’s “Automatic” won Song of the Year, and she also notched her fourth Album of the Year award, for Platinum. She is now tied with George Strait in the latter category.

Meanwhile, Sam’s single “Take Your Time” is spending its 10th week atop Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart. According to the magazine, “Take Your Time” is one of only sixteen tunes to accomplish that feat since the chart was launched in 1958.
