Art Streiber/NBCA rep for Blake Shelton confirms that the singer is suing In Touch magazine over its September 28 cover that alleges he checked into rehab for alcoholism after his divorce from Miranda Lambert.

According to TMZ, Blake’s lawyer filed the suit against Bauer Media in Los Angeles County Superior Court, asking for $2 million in damages. The lawsuit comes just days before the star of The Voice releases his new album, Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits.

In addition to hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini and Maddie & Tae are also set to sing. Viewers can look forward to once-in-a-lifetime performances by Eric Church and Hank Williams, Jr., Keith Urban and John Mellencamp and Thomas Rhett with Fall Out Boy as well.

After a planned set that started with “Hey Good Lookin’,” the British actor returned to the stage later in the night to sing more tunes by Luke the Drifter, even including one that didn’t make the film, the obscure “My Bucket’s Got a Hole in It.”
