The platinum certification is appropriate since “Somethin’ Bad” is included on Miranda’s latest album, Platinum.

Image Courtesy MCA NashvilleReigning CMA Entertainer of the Year George Strait has signed on to perform at the 48th Annual CMA Awards. This will be the 24th time George has performed on the CMA Awards during his 33-year career.

Nashville star Connie Britton, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Good Morning America correspondent Tim Tebow and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler are all set to present trophies on the show, too.

The 48th Annual CMA Awards broadcast live from Nashville Wednesday, November 5 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

The album title comes from the name of a city in Alabama about 25 minutes south of Birmingham. Sam played football at the University of Alabama at Birmingham before moving to Nashville. Once he got to Music City, Sam ended up dating a girl who lived down in Montevallo. Though that relationship is now over, that girl is the main inspiration for the songs Sam wrote and recorded for his debut project.

Ronnie was on hand to accept the honor following tribute performances from Martina McBride on “(I’d Be) A Legend in My Time” and Hunter Hayes on “(There’s) Gettin’ Over Me.” Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill and R&B legend Sam Moore also teamed up to sing Ronnie’s 1985 hit, “Lost in the Fifties Tonight.”

The brothers played Tim McGraw‘s “My Little Girl” as Fulmer and his daughter shared their father-daughter dance. The Fulmer family has been fans of The Swon Brothers since the duo competed on The Voice.

To show his appreciation, Coach Fulmer presented Colton and Zach Swon with autographed Tennessee Vols footballs.
