CMTOn Thursday’s new episode of Nashville on CMT, an unscrupulous reporter tricked Scarlett O’Connor into revealing that Damien George is the father of her baby. Though Scarlett adamantly denied it, the interviewer suspected the truth and ran with the story.

When Scarlett’s on-again, off-again boyfriend and musical partner, Gunnar Scott, realized the news was out, he was both angry and devastated. Scarlett later revealed to her uncle, Deacon Claybourne, that she’d learned the baby is a girl.

Jay Joyce, who’s known for his work with Little Big Town, Eric Church, Brothers Osborne and many more, is the Academy of Country Music’s Producer of the Year. He’s just one of the Studio Recording Award winners who’ll be given his trophy at the 11th Annual ACM Honors August 23 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.

On Thursday, the CMA Entertainer of the Year delivered a special episode from Johnson Space Center in Houston, as he visited with astronauts on board the International Space Station.

Garth surprised astronauts Jack Fischer and Dr. Peggy Whitson by bringing out wife Trisha Yearwood, who then brought out Fischer’s wife and daughter. Garth and Trisha went on to sing one of Fischer’s favorite songs, his 1992 chart-topper “The River.”

Shot partially on an ocean cliff in Big Sur, California, the new clip plays like a short film that follows the complete romantic history of one couple.

Kelsea recalls she instantly knew what she wanted the visual version of her song to convey.

“The video, without saying too much, when I wrote this song and listened to the demo that day, I envisioned just a big loss,” she remembers. “And so, it’s a very emotional video.”
