Morris PRVince Gill will be honored as a BMI Icon at the 62nd Annual BMI Country Awards Tuesday, November 4 in Nashville. The music rights organization gives the Icon award to “songwriters who have had a unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers.” Previous recipients include Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and Hank Williams, Jr.

The BMI Country Awards are an invitation-only event held every year the night before the CMA Awards.

Capitol NashvilleKeith Urban together with his band, crew and opening acts Jerrod Niemann and Brett Eldredge, have worked to create a hilarious video showing them lip syncing the Journey hit, “Faithfully.” The clip, which was posted to Keith’s YouTube account, commemorates the end of his Raise ‘Em Up tour earlier this month.

The trek was very successful for Keith, who just earned a CMA Entertainer of the Year nomination. See if he takes home the trophy when the CMA Awards broadcast live from Nashville November 5 on ABC.

CMAGarth Brooks‘ Teammates for Kids organization will host a sports camp in every city Garth plays on his world tour. His run of seven shows in Atlanta starts September 19, and Garth will be on hand for the Teammates for Kids Football ProCamp-Atlanta that same weekend. 150 young people from the Children’s Restoration Network will attend the camp and receive instruction from Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White.

Speaking with Rolling Stone Country, Aldean points to his successful Burn It Down tour, and his five-night run at various Major League Baseball stadiums this summer. He says, “Obviously it’s disappointing. We’re still out there selling out shows. With maybe the exception of Luke [Bryan], I don’t think there is anybody else out there that is doing the kind of touring numbers that we’re doing. It’s frustrating, man.”

Fashion RocksMiranda Lambert, Luke Bryan and The Band Perry were among the performers on the CBS Fashion Rocks special on Tuesday night.

Miranda was the second performer of the night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. She sang “Little Red Wagon” off her most recent album, Platinum.

Luke sang “I See You,” and The Band Perry delivered a rendition of their hit “DONE.”

The two-hour broadcast also featured musical guests such as Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Duran Duran, MAGIC! and KISS.

ACMCarrie Underwood‘s emotions got the best of her as she accepted her trophy at the 8th Annual ACM Honors at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium Tuesday night. Wearing a pink-and-white gown with a belt above her baby bump, Carrie teared up as she accepted the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award recognizing her recording and tour career as well as her acting work in NBC’s live production of The Sound of Music and other ventures. Fellow Oklahoma natives The Swon Brothers sang a medley of “See You Again” and “Wasted” in Carrie’s honor.
