Burke/ Triolo Productions/ThinkstockJamey Johnson‘s tribute to Waylon Jennings — held July 9 in Nashville with Waylon’s widow, Jessi Colter, and son Shooter Jennings — raised more than $70,000 for pancreatic cancer research.

Luke Bryan‘s “Play It Again” is the only country song featured on NOW That’s What I Call Music! Volume 51, which comes out August 5.

Toby Keith was on hand last Wednesday night as his daughter Krystal made her Grand Ole Opry debut.

Capitol NashvilleBlake Shelton has had a dose of Little Big Town‘s Pain Killer, and apparently he likes it.

Tuesday night, Blake tweeted, “I just heard some [of] what WILL be one of the most important albums in country music history… Congratulations and thank you @littlebigtown!!!”

Little Big Town’s sixth CD, featuring their hit “Day Drinking,” is due out October 21. Their last CD, Tornado, was one of only ten country albums to sell a million copies last year.

Warner Music NashvilleEven though he’s keeping the premise of the music video for “Tattoo” a secret, Hunter Hayes has released a teaser clip that goes behind the scenes of the shoot. It was filmed on the outskirts of Nashville in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, at least partially inside a large warehouse. The 23-second preview shows Hunter playing the guitar and chatting with an attractive brunette in front of a wall that resembles the back of a large white building.

Capitol NashvilleThis year, Lady Antebellum‘s Charles Kelley and his brothers will host their first-ever Kelley Brothers & Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament & Concert near their hometown of Augusta, Georgia. The October 27 event kicks off on the golf course that morning, and wraps up with Lady A headlining a concert that evening.

Proceeds will benefit local charities, including an endowment named for their father, who’s a retired cardiologist. Charles’ brother Josh is in the music business as well, while his brother John does construction and development in North Carolina.

Striking Matches opens for headliner Josh Turner October 15 at the 17th Annual Concert for Cumberland Heights. The show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium benefits the local alcohol and drug addiction center.

Kris Kristofferson, Emmylou Harris and Steve Earle contribute covers to Look Again to The Wind: Johnny Cash’s Bitter Tears Revisited. The August 19 release pays tribute to the golden anniversary of the Man in Black’s classic 1964 album.
