Image Courtesy CMAHunter Hayes has signed on to perform with Southern California music students at the Grammy in the Schools Live! concert in Los Angeles coming up February 4, 2015. More than 400 attendees of the Grammy Camp — Jazz Session program will take part in the event that night at Club Nokia. They’ll also attend the Grammy Camp — Basic Training program prior to the concert to get a behind-the-scenes look at music careers from leaders in the industry.

The project debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart in February with more than 288,000 copies sold in the first week. That’s the fourth highest debut of any genre this year behind only Taylor Swift, One Direction and Coldplay, respectively.

Willie Nelson‘s classic 1978 standards album, Stardust, is going into the Grammy Hall of Fame. The honorees also include “Honky’ Tonkin,” by Hank Williams and His Drifting Cowboys from 1947, and Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys‘”San Antonio Rose,” from 1939.

The Grammy Hall of Fame honors recordings that are at least 25 years old that have made a big historical or cultural impact. There are currently 987 titles in the Grammy Hall of Fame, on display at the Grammy Museum …read more

The Canadian native’s just released a PSA against family violence for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s YouTube channel.

In the clip, Shania encourages people to report incidents of family violence to the police. She also stresses that abuse can be physical, sexual or emotional and can happen in any family.
