He’s been releasing songs to country radio since 2010, but his career didn’t catch fire until his 2013 single, “Helluva Life,” topped the chart. He followed that up with the title cut from his latest album. All three of Frankie’s hit singles have turned out to be up-tempo, feel-good songs. Sony Music NashvilleMiranda Lambert returned to the stage to sing “Heart Like Mine” with her friend and co-writer on the song, Ashley Monroe, Wednesday night at The Basement East in Nashville. It was Miranda’s first public appearance since she announced her divorce from Blake Shelton on Monday.

The duet was the unplanned encore to Ashley’s album release show for her new album, The Blade. Miranda came out wearing little makeup and exclaiming that she was only wearing her Target dress. She seemed to gain strength as the two swapped vocals.

Stoney Creek RecordsRandy Houser and Montgomery Gentry‘s Troy Gentry are performing at the 55th birthday celebration for famed honky-tonk Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge October 21.

The party will take over Nashville’s Lower Broadway with an all-day concert. Jamey Johnson and Terri Clark are also on the bill, Organizers expect a few special guests to show up throughout the day as well.

Capitol NashvilleHillary Scott of Lady Antebellum has no idea what it’s like to live in a house where music isn’t being played or talked about all the time. Her mother is Grammy-winning singer Linda Davis, best known for the duet “Does He Love You” with Reba, and her dad is Reba’s former guitar player, Lang Scott.
