Naomi Judd and The Scott Brothers’ Jonathan and Drew Scott are the first celebrities announced for the City of Hope’s 28th Annual Celebrity Softball Game. The event returns to Nashville’s First Tennessee Park on Saturday, June 9.

Lady Antebellum‘s Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood will deliver the commencement address at their alma mater, the University of Georgia, on May 4. Both singers graduated with Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in 2004.

During The Voice Health Institute’s Raise Your Voice Gala on March 5 in New York City, several artists, including Urban, praised that doctor, Steven Zeitels, and the institute, for their work in laryngeal surgery and voice rehabilitation.

Drew Angerer/Getty ImagesStarting this week, the families of 58 people who lost their lives last year after a man opened fire at a country festival in Las Vegas will receive compensation from the Las Vegas Victims Fund.

The campaign, which started as a Go Fund Me page following the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest festival on October 1, will provide $275,000 to each family of the deceased.

According to a statement, more than $31.4 million was raised by over 90,000 donors locally, nationally and internationally. As a result, those injured and the victims’ families from the …read more

The country duo’s recent collaboration with Bebe on “Meant to Be” is currently at number-one on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for the 14th week. According to Billboard, that breaks the record for the longest running #1 song with lead female vocals.

Little Big Town previously held the title: “Girl Crush,” sung by Karen Fairchild, notched the number-one spot for 13 weeks in 2015.

“I get why it had to be this way, but I’m very sad Megan Barry is resigning,” Maren writes on Twitter. “As the mayor of Music City, she always came to shows. Years ago, she and Sgt. Forrest helped me by taking care of a really terrifying stalker issue I had. I felt safer as an artist in Nashville.”

Warner Music NashvilleAshley Monroe‘s fourth studio album will follow her new song, “Hands on You.” Sparrow was recorded at Nashville’s legendary RCA Studio A, and is set to be released April 20.

The East Tennessee native had a hand in writing all of the album’s eleven tracks, including “Daddy I Told You” with her Pistol Annies‘ bandmate Angaleena Presley, and “This Heaven” with Miranda Lambert‘s significant other, Anderson East.
