Loretta Lynn’s emotional message to the Country Music Hall of Fame: “Tell everybody I love ’em and I will be back!”

Rick Diamond/Getty ImagesThis weekend, a new exhibit, “Loretta Lynn: Blue Kentucky Girl,” opens at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. Though Loretta wasn’t able to attend the kickoff earlier in the week, an impressive array of next-generation country stars turned out to celebrate her contributions.

Kacey Musgraves read the foreword she’s written for the museum’s book on the exhibit, while newcomer Margo Price sang “Fist City,” and singer/songwriter Brandy Clark contributed a memorable rendition of Loretta’s signature song, “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”
