Josh Turner grabs multiple nods at Christian music’s 50th Annual GMA Dove Awards

MCA NashvilleJosh Turner could take home three GMA Dove Awards this fall, for his I Serve a Savior gospel album.

The South Carolina native is up for both Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for “How Great Thou Art” and Bluegrass/Country/Roots Recorded Song for his version of the Hank Williams classic “I Saw the Light.”

The record itself is competing for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year as well.

Meanwhile, Country Music Hall of Famer Ricky Skaggs is giving Josh some competition in the Bluegrass/Country/Roots Recorded Song category. He’s nominated for his contribution to Contemporary Christian icon Steven Curtis Chapman‘s re-recording of “Dive.”
