Let Freedom Sing! Chris Young to celebrate July 4 in Music City

ABC/Image Group LAChris Young will headline this year’s Independence Day celebration in Nashville.

The festivities known as “Let Freedom Sing! July 4 in Music City” will take place on the Riverfront in downtown Nashville. Chris, a native of nearby Murfreesboro, Tennessee, will take the stage alongside the legendary Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

The free event also boasts the largest fireworks show in the country, with a half-hour of pyrotechnics synchronized to a performance by the Grammy-winning Nashville Symphony.

Rocker Sheryl Crow played last year’s event.

In the clip, called “A Damn Good Day in Nashville,” the “Livin’ the Dream” hitmaker introduces us to some of his favorite hangs, including craft coffee destination Barista Parlor, trendy restaurant Bastion and longstanding dive bar Dino’s.

When it comes to his look, Drake favors Hatwrks for his chapeau, Scout’s Barbershop for a shave, and bootmaker Peter Nappi for his shoes.

Warner Music NashvilleThe number one country album this week is by a female artist. RaeLynn‘s debut WildHorse has entered the Billboard country album chart at #1, and also made the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart.

RaeLynn joins an elite few female country artists whose debut albums have bowed at the top of the chart. Wildhorse is the highest-charting album by a female since Maren Morris hit #1 with Hero nearly a year ago.

Some viewership stats from Sunday night’s 52nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards from Las Vegas: The live show garnered a 2.1 rating, pulling in 10.85 million total viewers. This year’s numbers were slightly below the 2016 ACM’s, which notched a 2.3 rating and attracted 11.2 million total viewers.

While on the ACM’s red carpet on Sunday, country singer Clay Walker proudly let the world know wife Jessica is expecting the couple’s fourth child together. Clay has two daughters from a previous marriage.
