Warner Music NashvilleLook for new music from Blake Shelton this weekend. His new single, “I’ll Name the Dogs,” is set to debut at 5 a.m. CT on Friday morning.

The new track is likely the lead single from his next record, though we don’t have any details about his eleventh studio album yet.

The announcement was made in a message Wednesday from Messina’s team on the “I’m Alright” singer’s website.

The message gave no specifics about the nature of Messina’s illness, just saying “she was recently diagnosed with cancer. It has been a trying summer, but her heart has been filled with gratitude for the many opportunities she has had to see God’s hand at work.”

The “Last Time for Everything” hitmaker is this year’s spokesperson for Band Against Cancer, a campaign to raise awareness about available treatments by Sarah Cannon, which is the Cancer Institute of HCA Healthcare. Sarah Cannon, of course, was the real name of the Grand Ole Opry legend better known as Minnie Pearl.

CMTCMT will honor Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Luke Bryan as its 2017 Artists of the Year — but the 8th annual event will be different this year. The 2017 edition will also focus on the heroes and survivors of Hurricane Harvey.

The show will air live from Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, starting at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, October 18.
