The Opry Goes Pink this October, with a little help from Kelsea Ballerini and Trisha Yearwood

ABC/Paula Lobo/Randee St. NicholasKelsea Ballerini and Trisha Yearwood are teaming up to help the Grand Ole Opry fight breast cancer. On October 24, the Opry Goes Pink for the ninth year in a row.

Kelsea will flip the ceremonial switch to turn the Opry’s iconic barn pink for the night, while Trisha will introduce this year’s Women Rock for the Cure honorary survivor. It’s a cause that’s very personal for Trisha, since she lost her own mother, Gwen, to cancer several years ago.

Both Carly Pearce and Devin Dawson make the magazine’s new “Ones to Watch” list of 26 rising stars in the world of entertainment. Devin has his first hit with “All on Me,” which just broke into the top 30, while Carly is enjoying a top ten hit with her debut single, “Every Little Thing.”

“It’s been so much work, so to finally start to see it pay off is mind-blowing,” Carly tells the magazine, who calls her “The New Voice of Country.” People nicknames Devin “The Nashville Idol.”

ABC/Image Group LA Carrie Underwood‘s much-talked-about Storyteller Tour ground to a halt in November of last year, but almost exactly twelve months later, it’s coming back to life…sort of.

The CMA Female Vocalist of the Year will digitally release the performance from the New York City stop of the trek on November 17.

The Opry’s maroon curtain rose to a moment of silence, as the iconic radio show remembered the 58 people who lost their lives and the nearly 500 who were injured, during Jason Aldean‘s set at the Route 91 Harvest Festival Sunday night in Las Vegas.

Capitol NashvilleShortly after it was announced that Luke Bryan would be part of the new judges’ panel on ABC’s relaunch of American Idol, Blake Shelton indicated that the two had discussed the possibility before Luke made his final decision.
