Carly Pearce says she “learned humility” by cleaning AirBnBs

Photo Courtesy of Big Machine RecordsCarly Pearce‘s debut single “Every Little Thing” is a bonafide hit, but as the 27-year-old tells the New York Post, she’s had a less-than-glamorous journey to the top.

Carly began performing at a young age, singing in talent shows at the age of eight and fronting a bluegrass band at age 11. By the time she was 16, she convinced her family to let her quit high school to work at Dolly Parton‘s theme park, Dollywood, in Tennessee.

ABC/Image Group LAKeith Urban will debut his new single, “Female,” at the CMA Awards tonight. In an interview with Billboard, Keith and the song’s writers reveal that it was partly inspired by the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

Songwriters Ross Copperman, Nicolle Galyon and Shane McAnally met to write the song in early October, when news first broke alleging that the Hollywood heavyweight was a sexual predator. But as Copperman tells Billboard, the October 1 massacre at country festival Route 91 Harvest in Las Vegas also had an influence on their writing session.

Brian JamieFollowing his first-ever performance on the CMA Awards tonight, Kane Brown will be a guest on ABC’s Nightline. The segment, scheduled for 11:37 p.m. CT, will feature an exclusive interview with the country newcomer.

Rachel Deeb Ryan Hurd‘s single “Love in a Bar” is the story of the start of his relationship with his fiancé, Maren Morris, so it’s only fitting that she stars in the music video for the song.

“Love in a Bar” was filmed at Ryan’s family lake house in Michigan, where he spent his summers growing up. The three-minute clip follows a day off for Ryan and Maren as the couple gear up for some time on the water. Fans can get a glimpse of the canoe boat that Ryan proposed to Maren in, too.

Written by Nicolle Galyon, Shane McAnally and Ross Copperman, the three-minute ballad has Keith taking a stand for women and discussing the injustices many face.
