“Jesus, Take the Wheel”: Carrie Underwood gets stopped for speeding

ABC/Image Group LA You can pretty much fill in your own “Jesus, Take the Wheel” joke at this point: Carrie Underwood took to her socials on Monday to confess she’d just gotten stopped for driving too fast.

“Well, it happened today,” the American Idol winner tweeted. “After 18 years, I can no longer say I’ve never been pulled over for speeding.”

“I feel so ashamed! I may or may not have cried in my car after the cop let me go,” she closed, adding the hashtags #RuleFollower, #GrannyDriver, and #ImSorry.

ABC/Image Group LA Chris Stapleton teamed up with Emmylou Harris for a moving rendition of Tom Petty‘s “Wildflowers” at the 60th Grammys Sunday night in New York City. But Chris’ connection to the rocker who died unexpectedly last fall goes even deeper than you might have realized.

But it turns out that Chris, who won three Grammy Awards on Sunday night, did a lot more on the album than just co-write and sing on that one song.

ABC/Image Group LA Fresh off winning three trophies at the 60th Grammys, performing Tom Petty‘s “Wildflowers” with Emmylou Harris, and appearing as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live — all in a single weekend — Chris Stapleton is ready to hit the road.

The “Broken Halos” hitmaker will crank up the All-American Road Show again in 2018, with both Marty Stuart and Brent Cobb returning to the open the dates.

The 2018 trek will kick off June 16 in Brandon, Mississippi, with tickets going on sale Friday, February 9.
