From LOCASH Cowboys to Million-Airs: Preston Brust and Chris Lucas “Love This Life”

ABC/Image Group LA The guys in LOCASH may need to think about changing their name, since they’re now officially millionaires…when it comes to radio airplay, that is.

While we can’t speak to Preston Brust and Chris Lucas‘s bank accounts, we do know how many times their breakthrough hit, “I Love This Life,” has been played. Performing rights organization Broadcast Music Incorporated just awarded the duo its BMI Million-Air Award, certifying more than a million broadcast performances in the U.S. In fact, the song, co-written with Chris Janson, has actually surpassed the two-million mark.

Courtesy Sleep Number If you’ve seen the visual album that accompanies Brad Paisley‘s Love and War project, you know he takes over a mattress store to perform the track “Go to Bed Early.”

Monday in Minnesota, the “Heaven South” singer recreated that scene, doing a pop-up concert at the Sleep Number location in the Mall of America.

This year, Jay will host the “Waiting for Wishes Celebrity Waiters Dinner” with 14-season NFL veteran Kevin Carter for the 17th time. The April 24 event at The Palm in Nashville raises money for both Carter’s foundation and Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee.

ABC/Image Group LA Carrie Underwood‘s husband’s retirement from hockey has proven to be a short one. Mike Fisher announced at a press conference Wednesday morning he’ll return to play for the Nashville Predators during the 2018 season.

After 17 seasons in the NHL, Fisher announced he’d come off the ice in August, after Nashville’s hockey team came close to winning the Stanley Cup in 2017. As of now, Fisher’s deal is only for this year, and though he’s already practicing with the team, it’s not known exactly when he’ll take to the ice again.
