My ACM Award Winners

The Academy of Country Music Awards are less than a week away. As a matter of fact, as their site says, 6 days, 7 hours, 3 minutes, and 20, 19, 18….seconds.

I have promised you my predictions for the winners of the coveted cowboy hat shaped awards. So, the following is not necessarily my scientific prediction, merely my choices for who I would like to see win. I may give you an explanation, and I may not. But, either way…. here we go!

Vocal Event of the Year (Off Camera Award) : Old Alabama – Brad Paisley Featuring Alabama

Video of the Year (Off Camera Award) : Red Solo Cup – Toby Keith    – This selection should need no explanation. Just YouTube the video and see for yourself.

Song of the Year : Just A Kiss – Lady Antebellum

Album of the Year : Own The Night – Lady Antebellum

New Artist of the Year : Hunter Hayes – Reason being this… he’s a 21 year old young man who is extremely talented and gifted. Check his story out at HERE.

Vocal Group of the Year : Lady Antebellum

Vocal Duo of the Year : Sugarland

Female Vocalist of the Year : Miranda Lambert – The woman has an amazing voice. She’s talented, funny, entertaining, and has blown me away with each new song she comes out with.

Make Vocalist of the Year : Jason Aldean – Amazing voice, very talented, lots of fun.

And the biggie… the one that we all wait for… Entertainer of the Year : Here’s why, or why not, also…

Jason Aldean – I don’t think he’s quite ready for this title yet. Give him another year in the circuit and we’ll see then.

Brad Paisley – Another talented artist, most certainly, just not my pick.

Kenny Chesney – I choose him to walk away with it. He has an enormous following and I can see how he can walk away with this award again.

Blake Shelton – I can see him also winning this award, though not my choice.

Taylor Swift – You’ve all heard how I feel about her. She isn’t my favorite and certainly not my choice for any award. Maybe songwriter, but I’m not a fan of her vocally.

So, there you have it. My choices for the ACMs coming up on Sunday the 1st? We’ll see how many I have gotten right. I wouldn’t put any money on it. *wink*
