Xbox One Controller and System

Marquette-MI (11/22/13) Last night marked the release of the Xbox One and I could not be happier about it. I can say from experience that my Xbox One set up was smooth and efficient.

The graphics look amazing and everything worked just as fast as Microsoft said it would. I switched from games to party settings to avatar editing in seconds.

Once the system was set up, all of the commands worked with either the controller, voice or motion. While making my breakfast, I told the system to turn on and opened Youtube…just by talking!

So far I’ve picked up 2 games, Call of Duty: Ghosts and Assassin’s Creed 4. I played a little Call of Duty last night and I was amazed.

Looking back at my first hour or two I can’t remember even one glitch or stutter. Only about 1,000 people were playing when I got on, so I’ll watch to see if it changes as the load increases.

The controller has been massively improved. It took some getting used to the smaller joysticks and new shape of the handles. I’m sure over time I’ll adjust and not like the old controller anymore.

I can’t wait to get home and play more. It’s gonna be fun to see how cloud servers helps an environment rich game like Assassin’s Creed. If you see someone running across rooftops don’t worry, its just me having trouble telling the real world from the game.

If you want to see the Xbox One in action, stop by a game or retail store and give the demo a try. I’m confident that you’ll be amazed.
