Hunker Down For Another Storm!

snowWinter Storm Warning remains in effect from 8 PM EDT /7 PM
CDT/ this evening to 2 am EDT /1 am CDT/ Saturday…







Hazardous weather…

* light to moderate snow will develop tonight and become heavy at
times on Friday before ending late Friday night. Snowfall rates up
to 2 inches per hour are possible late tonight into Friday

* Snow may mix with or transition to sleet and freezing rain at
times tonight through Friday morning… mainly south of a line from
Gwinn to Witch Lake and Crystal Falls.

* Storm total snow accumulations of 6 to 16 inches are likely from
tonight through Friday evening… with lighter amounts less than 6
inches over far southern Dickinson County. The heaviest snow will
be in the higher terrain of Marquette County… with the lesser
amounts over Dickinson and southern Iron County where a greater
amount of sleet will mix in with the snow.


* the snow will be very wet and heavy and will be difficult to
shovel and plow.

* Roads will become snow and sleet covered and very slippery.
Travel this evening through Friday evening will be very
difficult at times.

* The combination of gusty northeast to north winds and wet heavy
snow could down tree limbs and cause power outages.
