Marquette, Michigan – April 17, 2014 – I’m the irritating person who gets excited at the first sign of snow in the fall. I can’t wait to see the white stuff because I really enjoy our beautiful U.P. winters.
After this winter and all the polar vortices and subzero temperatures though, I’ve finally had enough!
I’m sick of watching snow fall. I normally sit near the window watching the snowflakes swirl around during a storm. Lately I’ve been closing the drapes when it snows.
I waited and waited for snow to come this fall so I could go cross country skiing and then when it finally came, it was too cold to go outside!
No snow angels were made this year, no snowman sentinels stood guard over our yard, and it was just too bitter-cold for sledding or playing in the snow.
Next year, I promise I won’t drive anyone crazy talking about the snow and how pretty it is and how much I love winter. I’ll grumble and complain just like everyone else.
