6/28/2014 Marquette, Michigan — The 2014 U.P. High School Football All-Star Game was heard loud and proud across the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan on 103-FXD in Marquette and 92.7 WRUP in Escanaba! The entire Upper Peninsula tuned in as the biggest athletes across the U.P. met at the Superior Dome in Marquette for the battle of the year! For most of the seniors, this was the last time they’ll ever meet to play Football!

Mike Plourde and Bob Nadeau, the voices of the Ishpeming Hematites, and Carl Leander Johnson, the voice of the Negaunee Miners brought you the pregame show on 103-FXD and 92.7 WRUP. Mike, Bob and Carl ran down all the stats as these young men were getting ready for the U.P. High School Football All-Star Game on 103-FXD and 92.7 WRUP. The U.P. Football All-Star game is put on each year over the past 3 years by XCel Sports Training.

The first half kicked off at 3pm on 103-FXD in Marquette and 92.7 WRUP Escanaba. The East end of the Upper Peninsula was ready to battle the West end right smack dab in the middle of the U.P. at the Superior Dome in Marquette. Mike Plourde, Bob Nadeau and Carl Leander Johnson were ready for a great game of U.P. High School Football action across the Upper Peninsula!

Jake Dodge from St. Ignace had the first kick-off during the 2014 U.P. High School Football All-Star Game. The West scores first during the first half of play. The West leads the East 7-0 on 103-FXD and 92.7 WRUP. The East comes back and makes a touchdown in the first quarter! The West leads the East 7-6. The East then leads the West 13-7 on 103-FXD and 92.7 WRUP. The East continued their strong momentum during the first quarter from the Superior Dome. The West then turns things around and leads the East 14-13.

First quarter ends with the West in the lead over the East 14-13.

Second quarter action begins from the Superior Dome in Marquette, Michigan during the 2014 U.P. High School Football All-Star Game on 103-FXD and 92.7 WRUP. The West was in the lead over the East 14-13 on 103-FXD and 92.7 WRUP. Ray Anderson from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan was out in front during the second quarter. The West then scores and has a 20-13 lead over the East in the second quarter of action. The West leads the East nearing the end of second quarter action 21-13. The West was up by 8 points in the second quarter with only about 2 minutes left to play! The West then leads by 1 point 21-20 over the East on 103-FXD and 92.7 WRUP. Negaunee Miner, Trevor Hanson came in during the third quarter of action. The East held on to their lead of 6 points throughout most of the third quarter over the West, 27-21. “It’s been a long 4 for the first down” said Bob Nadeau. The West then scores and trails the East 27-24 on 103-FXD and 92.7 WRUP.

Third quarter ends with the East in the lead over the West 27-24.

The 2014 U.P. High School Football All-Star Game on 103-FXD and 92.7 WRUP. The East continued in the fourth quarter with the lead over the West 27-24. Mike  Plourde, Bob Nadeau and Carl Leander Johnson brought you all the action from pregame to post-game on Great Lakes Radio. The East scores and now leads the West 34-24 with a 10 point lead. The East picks up their lead in the fourth quarter over West 41-24 on 103-FXD and 92.7 WRUP.
