This afternoon we gathered at Ojibwa Casino of Marquette to witness the Topping Out Ceremony, a tradition in the construction trade. Casino officials and construction crew members signed the final beam before lifting it into place at the top of what will be the new porte cochere grand entrance.

Now that the exterior shell is complete, the construction crew can work indoors for the rest of this cold, snowy season! By the time the addition is complete, Ojibwa Casino of Marquette will have more than doubled the size of the original gaming floor. There will also be two brand new restaurants in the building and the Ojibwa Casino Concert Hall at the far end of the facility. The casino will also be fitted with a new Guest Services VIP room and a more gaming options.

All kinds of good things are coming with this new casino. It’s a total re-imagining of Ojibwa Casino’s brand in Marquette.

Jim Orr, Director of Marketing for Ojibwa Casinos Baraga & Marquette
