Marquette Area Blues Society's 12th Annual Blues Fest at Mattson Lower Harbor

Wow! The crowd really packed the Lower Harbor!

Marquette, MI  –  8/16/2019  –  The 16th annual Marquette Area Blues Fest is coming up here in Marquette. Blues Fest has become a favorite local event and it will be taking place Friday, August 30th to Sunday, September 1st. Join the community in enjoying an array of popular blues musicians and music on Mattson Lower Harbor Park.

The weekend will be kicked off with a FREE show courtesy of Ore Dock Brewing Company and Honor Credit Union. Eliza Neals starts the show at 6pm with The Jimmys to follow at 8pm. Saturday, this ticketed festival will be kicking things off at 1pm with Eddie & the Bluesers followed by The Delta Jets, Bridget Kelly Band, Shawn Pittman, and JP Soars’ Gypsy Blue Revue. The festival will pick back up again on Sunday at 1pm with Uncle Pete’s All-Star BBQ Blues Band followed by Crosscut Kings, Joyann Parker, The Chris O’Leary Band, and Rick Estrin & the Nightcats. Along with great music you can also expect to see local craft booths, food vendors, free workshops and of course, a large dance floor!

You can purchase a weekend ticket for this event for $50 in advance, or $60 at the gate. A day pass is $35, and 14 and under are free with a paid adult. Students ages 15-23 can purchase a day pass for only $10! Visit Marquette Wallpaper and Paint, Jim’s Music, Yooptone Music, or NMU’s Berry Event Center to purchase your tickets for this event.
