Join Honor Credit Union at this fun-filled event and support the Reach & Rise Mentor Program!

Marquette, MI  –  May 29, 2015  –  Come on out on June 6th and join your local Honor Credit Union team at the 2nd Annual Iron Range Roll, a 16-mile point to point fun (but timed) race from Ishpeming to Marquette along the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. Proceeds from the event benefit the YMCA of Marquette County’s Reach & Rise Mentoring Program.

Honor Credit Union knows that youth mentoring is an investment in our community’s future. The Reach & Rise Mentoring Program is designed for youth ages 6 to 17 and connects these children with adult mentors. The children and their mentors participate in service projects, field trips, and other engaging activities designed to create a positive impact on the self-esteem of kids in Marquette County.

Honor Credit Union encourages you to help support the Reach & Rise Mentoring Program by participating in the Iron Range Roll. Run or bike individually or get your friends together and run the race as a relay team. There’s still plenty of time to get a team together since the registration closes on Thursday, June 4th.

After you’re registered, you can pick up your race bag at the Marquette Commons on Friday, June 5th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Registration fees are as follows: individual runner – $40; individual cyclist – $40; 4-person relay team (running) – $160. Register online today at

The race starts on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Cliffs Shaft Museum in Ishpeming and ends at the Marquette Commons (awards ceremony and after party follows at the Ore Dock Brewing Company).
