Honor Credit Union Helps New Family

Our family is growing so we need a home that will grow with us!

Gwinn, MIOctober 14, 2016 – We loved our first home. We made some great memories there, but life changes quickly. First we got Jake, our golden retriever; then Jesse was born; and now we have another little one on the way! Things are about to get really cramped in our little, 1-bedroom home.

Honor Helps. Since we already purchased one home, we knew exactly what to do. We called Honor and set up an appointment with Adam, the Real Estate Loan Originator at the Negaunee branch.

We wanted to find a bigger home with some land so Jake and the kids would have plenty of room to play. We set our sights on a nice property in Gwinn that was out in the woods and close to a recreational area with fishing and ski trails, but still on a paved road.

Honor Helps. Adam listened to us describe what we were looking at and helped us figure out how much we’d need for a down payment to keep our payments within our budget. Adam told us what to expect, we filled out the paperwork, and waited for a decision.

Honor Helps. We didn’t spend much time at all waiting on a loan decision. A few days later, we met our realtor at the exact house we’d been looking at. We walked the property and even found the perfect place to build a jungle gym for the kids.

Honor Helps. Now we’re about to close on a beautiful new home with plenty of room for our family to grow. And even though we’re picking up and moving, we’re keeping Honor Credit Union – they’ve got a branch right there in Gwinn, and we can do all our banking there!

Thanks, Honor Credit Union for helping us buy a home big enough for our family to grow right here in the U.P.
