Marquette, Michigan - January 29, 2014 – State of the Union Still Frustrates Prince Barry

Last night’s speech by President Obama restated his consistent claim that he is willing to work with anyone who will do what he says.  If Congress won’t give him what he wants… he’ll take it by executive order.  Does anyone else listening feel like they’re watching a spoiled child in the checkout line at a grocery store?  When the president isn’t outright lying to us, he sounds like the kid on the playground who says “They’re picking on me, they won’t let me do what I want to” (say that in your best whiny voice for full effect).

Amidst the half truths and outright lies about the deficit, Obamacare, jobs and such… there were statements that on their face were true -refreshing.  He said “climate change is a fact” … that is true… notice he left out “man-made” because it is not true.  He said we must end “tragedies in movie theaters and schools” — also true, although his solution will do nothing to end them.  The president has gotten better at disguising his lies amid true statements so he will not get caught saying things like “if you like your plan you can keep your plan” or “it was because of a video.”

All in all it was a fine speech… Democrats drool at every word, Republicans mostly see through the lies but will work with the president in areas of agreement.  Those of us in our right minds simply verify the inaccuracy of his statements and move on – wondering why the blindly loyal never check for the truth.. but I guess if they had, the man never would have been elected in the first place.
