Jill The CowGwinn  –  April 13, 2013  –   Jilbert Dairy was one of the proud community sponsors of the U.P. Pink Power Walkathon starting at Tall Timbers in Gwinn and finishing at Gary’s Knotty Pine.

Jilbert Sales Manager, Gordon Mielke said, “Despite the over-cast cold morning, it was nice to see the jovial crowd gathered at Tall Timbers to start the walk.”

Jilbert Dairy was excited to support this community walk supporting the Wounded Warriors Project and producing care packages for the troops, along with several other activities. Check the “Gwinn Quarterly” to see who else they supported.

The walk was a total of 17.5 miles and Jilly received a round of applause as she lead the way. She participated for 2 miles and then parked along the route and cheered on the 105 total walkers as they walked by.

“A big ‘Thank You’ to all of those people that came out. And a special atta-boy to two individuals whom raised over $1,000.00 each just from getting pledges. This is unbelievable,” said Gordon.

The U.P. Pink Power Walkathon raised several thousand dollars!! Thank you to everyone who participated!
