It won’t be long before the crocuses find their way through the snow — Let Norway Springs help you get your water tested after the spring thaw!

Marquette, Michigan  -  March 6, 2014  -  Believe it or not, the mighty Michigan winter is nearly over and that means spring is around the corner. The spring thaw means leaky basements for a lot of us, but it’s also the best time to have your water audited.

Although public water systems are tested regularly, private wells are not. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the State of Michigan recommend having your private well tested annually.

The CDC recommends having your water source audited in the spring by a local expert or local health department to check for local contaminants of concern.

U.P. BUILDERS SHOW SPECIAL: Norway Springs has a great deals only at the Builders Show in Marquette. Any new customer that signs up for a well audit or bottled water delivery service will receive their choice of a bottle of red wine, a bottle of white wine or a Dirt Devil vacuum! If you’re already a Norway Springs customer, stop by and put your name in a drawing to win a Mini iPad!

The CDC also recommends that you test your water if:

  • You know of any problems with well water in your area,
  • You have any problems near your well sites such as land disturbances or flooding,
  • You have repairs done on or replace any of your well system
  • You notice a chance in your water (taste, color or odor)

These are all excellent times to check your water, but spring is the best time to check with all the flooding and possible well contamination issues that go along with the spring thaw.

Keep your family safe and healthy. Visit Norway Springs at the U.P. Builders Show this weekend, March 7-9 at the Superior Dome in Marquette, and say hi to Lisa! She’ll be glad to tell you all about the benefits of testing your water and how a home filtration system could help improve your family’s water supply.
