 GWINN  -  February 14, 2013  -  The Gwinn Area Community Fund is proud to announce it has been fully funded. This Fund needed to attain a goal of $10,000 in order to generate annual scholarships.

Gwinn Area Community Schools Alumni Fund was created in the year 2005 by former GHS Graduates: Bruce & Kathryn Suardini, Mr. & Mrs. Richard Copley, John & Gail Blanck, Mr. & Mrs. Maurice J. Morin, John M. Wills, Susan Stephens (Keables),and Nancy Zanetti

Ron Lauren, CEO and the Board of Directors of the SIR Federal Credit Union, stepped up to the plate and generously donated the $3,000 needed to attain that goal. “Our youth are the future citizens of our country,” said Ron Lauren

The Gwinn Area Community fund cannot thank them enough for their visionary concern for the GHS students. We hope to continue granting annual scholarships from the Gwinn Alumni Fund this year and in future years.

Donations are still being accepted for this fund on an ongoing basis and can be sent to: Gwinn Area Community Fund, 248 Wellington Drive, Gwinn, MI. 49841
