The weather we had today was beautiful, and I had a chance to play some excellent bluegrass and country music for you on today’s show! Our Outlaw Cut of the day was the song “Country Boy Can Survive” from Hank Williams Jr., and before that song, we heard from ol’ Bocephus’ boy, alternative country artist Hank III with his song “Low Down”.

The first guest that I had on the Outdoor Reports for today’s show was Nick from Superior Outfitters in Marquette. He had a great report for us today focusing mainly on river levels around our area for salmon and steelhead fishermen. We also heard how fishermen have been having some success in local rivers thanks to the rainfall from this past week.

For my second Outdoor Report from Delta County, Ben from Lake Michigan Armory in Escanaba joined me to confirm good numbers of whitetail sightings and successful deer hunts from bowhunters. We also discussed hard to find calibers of ammo that Ben has in stock at his store!

On today’s Big Boy Sports Recap, Steve and I discussed the 111th World Seires with Mets at KC to start with. We also chatted about the Detroit Red Wings being back in action tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes. Then we got into recent changes in the Detroit Lions’ coaching staff as OC Joe Lombardi was fired yesterday and replaced by Jim Bob Cooter… That’s right, I said Jim Bob Cooter. YUP!
