I had a great time bringing you all the best country and bluegrass music today, only on 103-FXD, and even though it was the final day of gun deer hunting, I still had a ton to talk about on today’s Outdoor Reports! For today’s Outlaw Cut, we heard Ray Wylie Hubbard with his classic tune “Redneck Mother”.
For the first Outdoor Reports of the day, I caught up with Tom from the Rusty Rail which is located in Cornell, MI. He gave us his reports for what he has seen as to the number and size of the deer that he saw come through his check station. He also told us how the buck to doe ratio has been skewed due to the hard winters and large number of predators. Hunters in his area seemed to vary widely with their reports, but hunters this year have been harvesting less deer than in recent years.
Shelly from Straight Line Archery was kind enough to join me for the second of today’s Outdoor Reports. She always have a ton of great information on deer hunting, and today we discussed late season bow hunting tactics. We also talked about which products can help deer hunters be more successful in regards to scent management tactics.

It was a big day today on the Big Boy Sports Recap! Steve Whelan and I had a ton of stuff to talk about with the past week’s football games. The Packers loss to the Chicago Bears was a huge topic, and we also discussed the rest of the games in the NFL. We also talked some baseball off-season trades, as well as the NHL and college football power rankings.
