Florida Georgia Line Part of New Country Sound

Country Duo, Florida Georgia Line is Number 1 this week on the country charts with their latest single, Round Here. Their new sound reflects the changing boundaries that make up the current genre of mainstream country music. The sound of country has changed significantly from the days of Hank Williams’ Sr. and Loretta Lynn. From Alabama to Hank Jr. to Garth Brookes and George Strait, country music has evolved like all genres of music.

FGL’s Brian Kelley feels that since there is a new generation of both artists and song writers, the industry is seeing a different sound from these different influences. This new generation was raised on traditional country but they now have their own way of interpreting what they hear and write as country.

Florida Georgia Line is currently a special guest on Dierks Bentley’s,  Dirt Road Diaries Tour. Their own, “Here’s To the Good Times” tour starts October 3rd in Brookings, SD.
