Elmer Aho – Host of American Country Gold on 103-FXD

Marquette, MichiganJune 1st, 2017 – Hello fellow American Country Gold fans! I have really missed you over the past couple of months while I’ve been away from the microphone. I have received MANY Facebook messages, phone calls, emails, and even letters from loyal fans all over the world. As you know, I’ve been battling a fatigue problem.

About 15 years ago I had a very severe shingles attack. It caused extensive damage to the nerves in my neck. Since then, I’ve been dealing with fatigue as a result of the shingles attack. Over the past 15 years I’ve had the fatigue, but, lately, it has really intensified. It would be very difficult for me to host American Country Gold live on Saturday nights for 5 hours straight had I decided to come to the studios of 103-FXD. I’ve been keeping in close contact with my working partner Eric while I’ve been away. Since I’ve been absent, Eric has programmed shows from the past 7 years on Saturday nights from 7pm to Midnight.

Recently, I decided to take a visit to see my doctor. It turns out that the severe pain in my neck may not be causing all the fatigue I’ve been dealing with after all. Since visiting my doctor I’ve discovered that I will need to have a minor procedure performed in the very near future to help alleviate my fatigue. This hopefully will help me get back on track. I’m hoping after my procedure that I will be back full steam to host American Country Gold live on 103-FXD.

I can’t thank you all enough for your overwhelming support while I’ve been away from the microphone! You can continue to leave Facebook messages, emails, phone messages, and even mail to the station. Please send any letters to the below address:
