Marquette, MichiganApril 21st, 2018 – Wow! What a difference from last weekend, right?! The sunshine finally peeked through the clouds in Upper Michigan on Saturday to melt away the 2+ feet of snow we received last weekend. You could just watch the snow melt away inch by inch as the grass started to show up in spots. What a relief!

The highways and byways cleared up as you took a nice drive to enjoy the beautiful weather on Saturday night during American Country Gold on 103-FXD. It was a picture perfect drive from Gwinn to Marquette on M-553.

Since I didn’t make it in last week due to the nasty pasty forecast, I ended up having to play “catch up” this past Saturday night. It’s always a pleasure to speak with Jason from Marquette on the phone. Although Jason loves to let the phone ring in the studio 20+ times each time he calls in, I still always manage to squeeze in his request for Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, or even Lane Dawson. Speaking of Lane, I played a couple Lane tunes during the 9pm hour on Saturday. We miss you, Lane!

I brought back the Train set at 10pm because of you! Between the phone calls and Facebook messages, it became clear to me that we need to recognize the hard working men and women that work on our railroads across the nation and right here in Upper Michigan!

If you missed me on Saturday night you can catch me on Jarvi Radio in Finland each Sunday! Join me next Saturday, April 28th from 7pm to Midnight on 103-FXD. Check out my previous shows by visiting my audio archive here. Enjoy the beautiful weather this week!
