Marquette, Michigan 9/10/2011 — On tonight’s edition of American Country Gold on 103.3 The Country Extreme it was the eve of the 10th Anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. In memory of all the victims on that tragic September day, Elmer spun several patriotic songs throughout the show. Elmer brought you Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” in memory of all the victims.

You enjoyed various Bluegrass tunes during the “Bluegrass Set” which aired at 9pm (est). Elmer brought you 5 Bluegrass songs (as he does every Saturday night) from Earl Scruggs Revue, Sensational Stonemans, Flaming Banjos, The Blue Sky Boys and Bluegrass 2001.

We heard from our loyal listener, Jeff, who requested Big Bopper’s “Chantilly Lace”. Always nice to hear from Jeff! We picked up the pace a little bit! We want to hear from you. Tune in next Saturday night from 7pm to Midnight (est) for American Country Gold on 103.3 The Country Extreme! Call us next Saturday night at (906) 227-8888 or email Elmer at elmer@wfxd.com.
