9/20/2012 (Courtesy TheBoot.com) – Good Morning! Scoring the best first-week album sales of their career, Little Big Town has taken their critically-acclaimed fifth album, Tornado to the No.1 spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. The disc is also at No. 2 on Billboard 200 chart, just behind the new one from the Dave Matthews Band and one spot ahead of Bob Dylan‘s latest, Tempest.

According to Nielsen Soundscan data, Tornado sold just shy of 113,000 units in its first week of release, which more than doubles the first-week sales of the foursome’s 2010 album, The Reason Why. Tornado is the band’s second consecutive chart-topping album, and the chart-storming quartet also spent two weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Songs chart with their now-platinum-certified single “Pontoon.”
