Today is Alfred Hitchcock Day

Marquette, Michigan — Good afternoon! The title says it all. Yep, today, this 12th day of March is Alfred Hitchcock Day. To be honest, I had no clue that Alfred Hitchcock had a day until Monday!

It makes perfect sense. A master of suspense; a celebrated film director who passed away at the age of 80 back in 1980 has a day that we can all celebrate in his honor.

I’ll admit, I’m a huge fan of two huge masterpieces of Alfred Hitchcock’s; “The Birds” (1963) and “Psycho” (1960). Not only that, but who could forget “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” from the early 1960′s era. I remember when I was a young child and every night my parents religiously watched that show.

So, from my short summary, you can see why I believe Alfred Hitchcock deserves his own day in his honor.
