Ever Been to Nashville?
6/3/2013 Marquette, Michigan — The journey began late last week….a trip to Nashville, TN with a couple of my best buddies! Actually, the trip began in Marquette, Michigan and ended in Marquette, Michigan.

My friends and I decided it was time to take a road trip to Nashville. While on the way down I decided to stop in East Lansing, Michigan to visit a high school friend of mine that I haven’t seen in nearly 6 years. My friend and her husband took my friend and I around East Lansing, Lansing, and the surrounding suburbs. This was the very first time I had been through the state capitol of Michigan, so it was rather exciting. I even had a chance to sit on the steps of the state capitol and had a few pictures taken!
After a short time in Lansing, Michigan my friend and I drove down to Evansville, Indiana to meet up with another close friend of ours. My close friend in Evansville and his wife met up for dinner, had a few drinks, drove around Evansville, went sightseeing, and so much more! Evansville, Indiana has plenty of dining establishments, and a lot to offer two visitors from Upper Michigan.
The fun really began after Evansville, Indiana with the road trip to Nashville! The weather was

hot, sticky, and humid but I loved every minute of it! Nashville is about a 2 hour drive from Evansville, Indiana. When arriving to Nashville we immediately decided it was time to get a bite to eat! If you want to indulge in delicious foods, Nashville is the place for you! From the BEST pulled pork I’ve ever sunk my teeth into to the AWESOME selection of Ice Cream, we couldn’t go wrong! Even though the 3 of us had a short time in Nashville, we made the best of it. From bar hopping on broad way, to the Opry Mills Mall, we took in all we could! If you haven’t been to Nashville, I would highly suggest taking a road trip to Nashville. The weather was in the upper 80’s/lower 90’s, humid, and hot & sticky!
After Nashville, the 3 of us decided to head back to Evansville and wrap up the trip. We drove back to Upper Michigan late Sunday night after a few stops in Chicago and Green Bay. It was also nice to drive through Lower Michigan and see parts of the state I’ve never seen before. From Lower Michigan we drove through Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and a few other larger cities in Indiana.
Nothing like a delicious sausage after a few drinks in Nashville, TN
I definitely had the time of my life! I would love to do it all over again. Have you ever been to Nashville?
