The sun is shining and the birds are chirping in Upper Michigan

4/7/2014 Marquette, Michigan — It’s hard to believe that last Friday we were digging out from over a foot of snow in most parts of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. If I was a guessing man, I would have to say that a majority of the snow from Friday did melt over the weekend.

I was able to get work done this weekend outdoors since it was OH SO NICE. Sometimes when the weather gets like this, I feel like driving somewhere with no destination in mind! Call me insane, but I normally think like this when the weather finally starts to warm-up and summer is in clear sight.

What I really enjoyed about this weekend was the freedom to walk around outside without having to wear a winter jacket. I feel like a prisoner when I’m wearing that! Oddly enough I walked into the station today when it was around 50 degrees with a winter jacket on. I really need to break that bad habit.

Looking into the rest of the week… you can look forward to temperatures in the 40′s and 50′s all week! I’m going to Green Bay this coming weekend, and the forecast shows temperatures in the lower 60′s down there! This will be the first time since September 2013 that I’ve headed South rather than North.

Don’t go anywhere Spring…. we’re hanging on tight!
