Finding a home in Marquette, Michigan is a lot more difficult than I initially thought.

6/4/2014 Marquette, Michigan — The joys of house hunting! Lisa Ravioli and myself have been talking about the process of buying a home in the 4pm hour this week. No, we’re not buying a home together–I myself am in the market to buy a home. I’ve been searching from the north to the south, to the east and west trying to find the perfect home. It’s been quite a daunting task. Everyone told me “it’s a lot easier said than done” and were they ever right!

It’s very difficult to find a home within your budget, at a perfect location and have everything that you want. I’m specifically looking for a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1 story ranch style home.

Next- Location, Location, LOCATION! I’m looking for a home close to Marquette. I always say everything I do is in Marquette–except eat and sleep! I practically live in Marquette. BUT, prices of homes in Marquette are over my budget–way over my budget. I love Marquette, but not enough to go over my budget.

I wouldn’t mind finding a home in Negaunee OR Ishpeming Township. Taxes are a little cheaper than in the city–and you’re still not too terribly far out from the city of Marquette.

Be listening to the FXD Drive today in the 4pm hour as Lisa Ravioli and myself will continue my discussion on house hunting. It’s a lot more tougher than I initially thought….. any advice?
