The Fall Colors in the Copper Country this past Weekend.

9/29/2014 Marquette, Michigan — Did this past weekend really happen? Was I dreaming? Did we really have weather that was in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s? Did I wake up this morning to 39 degrees in Ishpeming? To answer all those questions, the answer is a clear “YES!”

I ended up doing some traveling this past weekend. Went up to the Copper Country… and the colors along U.S. 41 were absolutely breathtaking! I couldn’t believe my eyes. It looked like Fall was in full swing across the Upper Peninsula. It was totally amazing. I wish I could’ve put this past weekend in a bottle, and hung on tight to that bottle!

In addition to doing some hiking this past weekend, I also ended up doing some biking on the Heritage Trail between Ishpeming and Marquette. The colors along the Heritage Trail were absolutely beautiful, too!

To wrap up this amazing weekend, my good buddy in Negaunee had a fire in his driveway. Saturday night it didn’t get much below 70 degrees. The stars were out, and peepers were out, and the fire was hot on Saturday night! This weekend just couldn’t be beat.

I’m thinking we’re now going to pay for this weather. Have you seen the forecast for this coming weekend? Looking at highs barely getting out of the upper 40’s. I hope you took advantage of the weather this past weekend…
