The almighty donut to the rescue!
The almighty donut to the rescue!

Negaunee, MichiganMay 11th, 2016 – I would like to thank the good Samaritan from Negaunee that helped me change my flat tire on Monday on my way to the 103-FXD studio. I ended up having to drive into downtown Negaunee to change my flat tire on Monday since I couldn’t find a place along side U.S. 41 in Negaunee.

It’s very rare that I end up with a flat tire but this time my tire blew out on me when driving to 103-FXD on Monday. Whew! Luckily, with the help of the good Samaritan, I was able to get the flat tire off of my car! Turns out I was turning the lug nuts the wrong way. “Left is for loose, right is for tight.” Somehow, in the midst of panic I forgot which way to turn the lug nuts. The kind woman who helped me gave me that advice. With her extra hand I was able to get the flat off of my car and replace it with the almighty donut! It was hidden underneath my trunk.

It looks like there was a screw lodged in my tire. It appears that screw somehow came out and let out the air in my tire which in turn blew my tire while riding through Negaunee. It was a scary experience. Have you ever experienced a blow out on the highway? If you have, you won’t soon forget.

Thanks to the generosity of Yoopers, I was able to safely and easily get my flat tire replaced with the donut. Now off to Pomp’s Tire in South Marquette….
