The U.P. Honor Flight is coming up on Wednesday, September 21st in Washington D.C.

Marquette, MichiganSeptember 20th, 2016 – We will Honor our WWII and Korean Veterans tomorrow, Wednesday, as the U.P. Honor Flight will depart from the Delta County Airport near Escanaba early Wednesday morning and arrive at our nations capitol, Washington D.C. around 8am. The U.P. Honor Flight gives our Veterans a chance to visit their Memorials in Washington D.C. that stand in their honor. If it wasn’t for the U.P. Honor Flight our Veterans likely wouldn’t have this opportunity to visit Washington D.C.

While I’m in Washington I will get a chance to interview our Veterans, take pictures of the Memorials and visit with the fine folks who organized the U.P. Honor Flight. Our Veterans say “This is an experience of a lifetime” and it truly is!

I’m very excited to thank our Veterans that have given so much to our Country. I will be reporting LIVE early Wednesday morning from the Delta County Airport here on 103-FXD and our sister-station Sunny.FM. I’m looking forward to this opportunity to join our Veterans and visit Washington D.C. all day Wednesday, September 21st.

Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.  Korean veterans may also apply, but priority is given to WWII veterans.
