Ishpeming, MichiganOctober 10th, 2016 – Okay, it was more of a “quick” walk between Ishpeming and Negaunee. I strolled between both Ishpeming and Negaunee on Sunday afternoon to enjoy a nice colorful walk on the heritage trail. What I love about the Heritage Trail is that it is a paved path that links both Ishpeming and Negaunee together. It is funded solely by taxpayers dollars. It is very relaxing.

I’ve been walking the Heritage Trail ever since it was first paved. Usually, when the weather is decent I will either take a walk or a bike ride to Negaunee from Ishpeming. On my way to Negaunee when taking the Heritage Trail I will also take a detour off the path and take a ride through Old Towne Negaunee. This is very close to downtown Negaunee. It’s a very short drive off the beaten path…

The colors appear to be at their peak right now. I would highly recommend a bike ride or a quiet walk on the Heritage Trail. Heck, even venture out a bit and take the trail all the way to Marquette. It’s about 8 miles from Negaunee. You can even head west on the trail outside of Ishpeming toward Republic. The trail has now been paved further west than before.

Don’t wait too much longer! Enjoy the fall colors while they’re at their peak!
