Ishpeming, MichiganNovember 8th, 2016 – Well, maybe not “forced” everyone outdoors.. but certainly drove everyone outdoors. With the 70+ degree weather on Sunday I decided to hit the trails thinking that maybe this would be the last time in 2016. The Iron Ore Heritage Trail was very, very busy. The trail, which links Ishpeming and Negaunee together had bike riders, people pushing their babies in strollers, and walking their dogs three miles between both cities.

I on the other hand pumped up the tires on my bike, stocked up a couple water bottles filled with ice cold water, and hit the trail. It was like summer had started all over again. What seemed even more strange was the fact that the time change gave us less daylight. That meant that the sun had already set by 7pm. Darkness at that time and warm weather don’t generally go hand in hand in Upper Michigan. But, it didn’t matter! I cruised down the Iron Ore Heritage Trail to visit my folks on the other end of town at 40 miles per hour. Check out this video of me cruising on my bike… please excuse all the wind!
