Marquette defeated Kingsford Friday night for their first outright GNC title since 1976

Marquette, MIOctober 29, 2019 – On Friday night the Marquette Redmen football team defeated the Kingsford Flivvers in their regular season finale. With the win, the Marquette football team did something no other team has done since 1976.

They won the Great Northern Conference outright.

The Redmen finished 4-0 in GNC play en route to a 5-4 record, and their first playoff appearance since 2014. A big congratulations is in order for first year head coach Eric Mason, and all of the players and coaches.

Marquette takes on Muskegon Saturday in the first round of the playoffs, which you can hear on the Big Game of the Week on 103 FXD with the Elder Agency pregame Show at 12:30, and kickoff at 1:00PM.
