Michigan Natural Resources Commission will Hear Testimony on Blueberry Ridge Pathway Use

Marquette, MI– The Natural Resources Commission is encouraging the public to attend a public meeting with the opportunity to submit formal testimony regarding equestrian use on the Blueberry Ridge Pathway.  On Thursday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. the meeting will be held at the Hiawatha Snowmobile Club Clubhouse.  This is located at the “crossroads”, one-half mile north of CR-490 on M-553 in Marquette.

This public meeting is following a community meeting with the Department of Natural Resources that was held on Oct. 13. During this meeting the DNR’s Forest Management Division used patterns and management recommendations and presented the history of the Blueberry Ridge Pathway.

The meeting on Dec. 1st will be an opportunity for the public to submit formal testimony on the management of the Blueberry Ridge Pathway. All information presented at the public meeting will be gathered and presented to the Director of the DNR. The decision on management of the Blueberry Ridge Pathway is up to the DNR Director.
