Michigan’s Free Fishing Weekend

Two days twice a year, families can join in on this annual tradition of enjoying Michigan’s premiere outdoor activities while fishing for free. The Free Fishing Weekends for 2012 are scheduled for February 18 and 19, as well as during the summer on June 9 and 10.

Free Fishing Weekends in Michigan are a Tradition for Many Families

During Free Fishing Weekends, all fishing license fees are waived and residents and out-of-state visitors are allowed to enjoy fishing inland and on the Great Lakes. Fishing regulations still apply, but all species of fish can be caught.

The annual Free Fishing Weekend has become a tradition for my families.Michigan is a great place to enjoy this outdoor activity with your family in some of the finest freshwater fishing in the world. There is over 3,000 miles of Great Lakes shoreline, over 11,037 inland lakes and 36,350 miles of rivers and streams. There are 12,000 miles of trout waters as well.

Get out, and go fishing with your family, and enjoy the Free Fishing Family Weekend in Michigan.
